Hills groups exist to bring people together and grow in our relationship with Christ. We believe God created us to live in relationship with others and only then can we live the full life He intends for us. Sharing life with God in mind through community is part of our design, but meaningful relationships aren’t always easy to find. That’s why small groups exist—to make these life-changing relationships relevant and accessible to you.
For Those Exploring Christianity or New BelieverAlpha is a series of interactive sessions that explore the basics of the Christian faith. Anyone in this group is free to explore life, faith and God in a friendly, open and informal environment. In each session, there will be a snack, a short talk via video and then an open discussion amongst the group participants. The video talks explore the big issues around faith and unpack the basics of Christian faith, addressing questions like “who is Jesus?”, “why and how do I pray?” and “how does God guide us?” The group discussion allows people to share their thoughts and questions about the talks without being judged.
If you are interested in exploring the Christian faith, or you are new to the Christian faith then this course is designed specifically for you.

Shaken (Tim Tebow)
WHO ARE YOU WHEN LIVE IS STEADY? WHO ARE YOU WHEN STORMS COME? Most of us have been on the receiving end of rejection, a broken dream, or heartbreak. And while this is not an easy space to go through, when we are grounded in the truth, we can endure the tough times.
In this powerful series, Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow passionately shares glimpses of his journey staying grounded in the face of disappointment, criticism, and intense media scrutiny. Following an exceptional college football career with the Florida Gators and a promising playoff run with the Denver Broncos, Tebow was traded to the New York Jets. He was released after one season.
In Shaken, Tebow talks about what he’s learned along the way, building confidence in his identity in God, not the world. This moving series features practical wisdom from Scripture and insights gained from others who have impacted Tebow in life-changing ways.

BEING GOD’S MAN IN THE SEARCH FOR SUCCESS (Stephen Arterburn)
As Christian men, we crave true-to-life, honest and revealing bible study. Christians today are often ill at-ease. Yes, they have success in many areas; they also have significant problems. Many of the problems may a direct consequence of the inability to practice biblical openness and connect with other men. The outside life is in “order,” while storms of unprocessed conflict, loss, and fear eat away the resolve to maintain integrity. The solution lies in creating contexts for meaningful relationships among men. When a man is able to practice biblical openness with other men, he will move from secrecy to openness, from isolation to connection, and from pretence to authenticity.
Men don’t enjoy living on the barren islands of their own secret struggles. This study provides opportunities for their men to experience Christian male companionship centred in God’s Word and teaches us to lean on one another.
DATE: Thursday 7 – 8:30pm Beginning April 20 for 6 weeks ending May 25. Cost $15.00. For location details please contact Pastor Jan at email@example.com
COFFEE, COMMUNITY AND THE BIBLE
For this group we decided to get back to some basics. The Bible talks about how believers should crave the word just as a natural baby craves milk. However so often rather than getting the nutrition of good milk, we settle for the fake and unfulfilling. This group plans to focus on feeding that deep craving in us all. God calls us to community with others and we hope through this group to build a community based on our desire to study the Bible and that alone. Anyone who is motivated to study the Bible is welcome. We plan to meet in a coffee shop each week and sped time going through the scripture and getting to know one another. If you feel you don’t have a place, then join us in our search of scripture and community.
Date: Thursdays 7 – 9 p.m. Beginning Apr 20, 2017. For 6 weeks. Cost free. For location details Please contact Pastor Jan at firstname.lastname@example.org
CRAZY LOVE (Francis Chan)
It’s crazy, if you think about it. The God of the universe loves us with a radical, unconditional, self-sacrificing love. And what is our typical response? We go to church, sing songs, and try not to cuss. God is calling you to a passionate love relationship with Himself. Because the answer to religious complacency isn’t working harder at a list of do’s and don’ts—it’s falling in love with God.
This 10-week study follows a day-in-the-life of Francis in the form of ten, 10-minute segments that correspond to each chapter of Crazy Love. These thought-provoking teachings are designed to spark discussion, interaction, and provide practical application to the Crazy Love message.
Date: Tuesday, 7 – 8:30 p.m. Beginning April 18. Cost TBD. For location details contact Pastor Jan at email@example.com
WATCH YOUR MOUTH (Tony Evans)
Your greatest weapon – for good or for evil – is your mouth. Join us to discover what the Bible teaches about talking and discover the power of spoken word to bolster your faith when you’re doubting, discern what should or shouldn’t be said so you honour God, and develop the ability to praise God and voice wisdom even in tough circumstances.
Don’t let your words bring cursing or destruction to you and those you love. Instead let your words minister to and speak life into the world around you. Your words release the very breath of God. Aren’t you excited to learn how?
Date: Monday, 7 – 9 p.m. Beginning April 17. Cost $20. For location details contact Pastor Jan at firstname.lastname@example.org
CAVE OF ADULLAM
There is so much of sicknesses and diseases in the world. There is a real need for the body of Christ to rise up and recognize that they have been given the power and ability to use the powerful name of Jesus and pray for the sick. The body of Christ must move in power and anointing as in the days of Acts. Matthew 10:1,8. Acts 4:30. God is also looking for intercessors to stand in the gap and pray. Intercession is really a powerful tool in such a time as this Ezekiel 22:30. This small group will equip the body of Christ to move mightily in these areas.
Date: (TBA end of April) Cost $5.00. For more info and location details please contact Pastor Jan at email@example.com

THRIVING IN BABYLON (Larry Osborne)
These are confusing times for many Christians. Traditional biblical values are not only rejected; it seems as if they’re attacked on every front. It’s all happened at warp speed, leaving many of us spiritually and culturally disoriented or even fearful, frustrated, and angry. How can we spiritually survive in an increasingly spiritually hostile environment? And is there any hope for the next generation?
In this 5-session series, Larry Osborne introduces us to a man forced to live in a last-changing and godless society. This man faced fears about the future, concern for his safety, and the discouragement of a world that seemed to be falling apart at warp
That man was Daniel, and with the power of hope, humility, and wisdom, he not only survived, but thrived.
Each session also includes real-life stories of people struggling to thrive in an ever-increasing godless society. Though Daniel lived thousands of years ago, he has much to teach us today.
